9 kilometer run today…

Today we decided to run from the Golf Course along the river trails to the HWY 60 bridge. There were a lot of hills and due to the recent rains there was some mud too. By the time we got to the bridge, I decided we (Marilyn ran with me) had done enough trail training and decided to go back via the upper paved trails. To do that we had to climb the paved road up the hill into town. This is the same road where they recently had the soapbox derby. All those carts careening down that hill is an annual event during Devon Days. We ran about a third of the way up that hill and walked the rest. Total 8 km, plus after we got back to the car, I decided to drive back to the bottom of that hill. I wanted to see if I could run up the hill without walking or stopping from the picnic area/boat launch below the bridge into town, a total of 1 km. Marilyn drove the car back up the hill and waited for me. This time I ran up all the way without stopping. Total year to date distance = 367.1 km
