America’s Memorial Day: Canadians should be thankful too!

The last Monday in May is when Americans show respect and remember the men and women who died in all wars, and who are still actively defending freedom throughout the world. Memorial Day is not generally celebrated by Canadians, and I am not sure what our equivalent celebration would be. But we should be thankful not only for our Canadian Troops fighting and dying overseas, but also for the American people who are the backbone of our freedom, and its defense. The young men and women who risk their lives willingly do so not only for our freedom at home, but for the love and freedom of the peoples whose countries they are policing.

Thank you America! Thank you Canada! And thank you also to Great Britain and other nations who are going through the same heart-rending sacrifices.
