Karate 2

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Today’s karate lesson was a lot tougher. We had a lot of visitors and visiting Black Belts from Edmonton and area. Marilyn and I were at our wits end with having to go through the motions of at least 5 or so different punching and blocking moves. We were totally uncoordinated! [...]

I have good run news and bad run news…

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Well, after my second ART treatment on Monday, I ran a good 11 km at a 7:16 pace on Tuesday and felt really good. No problems whatever.
Then today, I tried to run 5 km at a less than 6:00 pace and within the first km I knew I could not do it. I [...]

Karate 1

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

11 km today and I am so not happy…

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

I did 11 km in 1:24:52 and I am not happy.
Because I re-injured my calf muscle. It felt not as bad as the first injury and is slightly offset in terms of location. I felt a slow build-up of a deep burning sensation in my muscle that seemed to move around a little [...]

After I emailed 5peaks, expressing my concern over getting lost at Canmore, I received this reply which speaks for itself:
John,

We do appreciate hearing your comments.
First off, we truly apologize for the poor trail marking you experienced. We take pride in ensuring our [...]
