Today’s 11 km was up and down…

I will be increasing my other weekly runs until I get back up to 11 km runs during the week except for one 5 km run. After that I will increase my weekly LSD by 10% per week.
So next week on my Thursday run instead of running 5 km I will be running 6.5 km which is about 10% of my weekly total not counting my long run on Sundays. The aim is to keep increasing the run distance by about 10% per week until my weekly runs are at 11 km, 11 km, 11 km, 5 km (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) in that order. Once there I will increase my LSD by 10% a week to 17 km. With every third week as a rest week.
We’ll see how that goes. Nothing is written in stone. So back to today’s run: My calf did not give me any trouble today, but I am still hesitant and careful with it. If I felt even the slightest twinge or burn I started to worry excessively about it, but fortunately everything went rather well.
