A run and a rant…

We now have our first permanent snow on the ground this winter. Temperature was -18 C, but not much if any wind chill and overcast. I wore my yaktrax for the first time this winter. My pace was 7:50 per km. I ran 11 km in 1:26:11. Did I tell you that I hate winter? It’s not like summer at all! There are no flowers, no warm fuzzy sunshine, no gentle thundershowers, no rainbows. The only good thing about winter is that it makes you appreciate spring, summer, and fall all the more. Seriously, winter is good for our particular brand of ecosystem up here in the great white north. Kills bugs and scorpions and all kinds of other nasty creatures that our American friends have that would not at all be welcome here.
