Running in the wind and freezing rain…
I ran 7 km today in some really nasty weather. It was not that cold (-1 C) but there was freezing rain and winds gusting to 50 kph. As such, it was an interesting and very tiring run. I just crept over my training pace, running it in 0:52:51 which is a 7:33 pace. Fortunately the trees sheltered me from the winds some of the time. It was a hard workout though. Later, I went to work and the highways were just awful. On my way home I stopped to help out a little old lady who had rolled her truck into the ditch in the snow. She could not get out of her vehicle because it was resting on the passenger side and she was standing up inside, her head just poking out the drivers window. Her truck was crumpled up pretty bad.
