An appeal from Dr. Steven Greer…

Steven Greer has been threatened before by unknown organizations who have opposed his efforts to force the government to disclose the truth. One such occasion I quote from a transcript of the Coast to Coast radio show with Art Bell: AB: All right, well here was an attempt at intimidation. This phone call came in when, Doctor? SG: This came in about two or three weeks ago to the CSETI line outside D.C. AB: Here it is, Listen carefully: [Playing tape] Recording of voice mail for CSETI number 301-249-3915 recorded message dated July 19, 2004. The time is 12:35 A.M. “Stop prying into government matters or dire consequences will result” [Voice Mail time] July 19, 12:35 A.M. Philip J. Corso’s book…

“The Day After Roswell” is the title of Philip Corso’s book. I read the edition dated 1997 that has the forward by Senator Strom Thurmond. I have to say that this is a most entertaining read. It is far from good literature, but as a science fiction or fantasy novel, it is quite entertaining. I found the first part of the book most intriguing when Corso writes of the probable sequence of events during and immediately following the recovery of the crash debris. I did read many reviews of this book online and also Stanton Freidman’s comment on this as well (see: http://stantonfriedman.com/). The bottom line is this: This book is a good read, but not because I believe Corso’s opinions. It is fun to read. I read it in just a couple of days. The other bottom line I need to state is that I think this book has … Continue reading

Happy Solstice!

The precise moment of the 2007 solstice will be Sat., Dec. 21, 11:08 P.M. MST according to one of my Google searches. Eastern time would make that 1:08 AM Dec 22nd. But let’s not quibble about the hours and minutes here. Today it is overcast so I am glad I took this photo of the sun and its relationship to my horizon yesterday, December the 21st. I took this picture at high noon. Now you all know how long our shadows are up here in the north even though that’s the highest we will see the sun for a while!

WordPress blog finally updated…

I finally updated WordPress to its current 2.3.1 version, but it was a weird struggle. My internet service providers (tera-byte.com) were quick off the mark and very efficient. I wondered at times if I had lost everything. I had to change servers because the server I used to be hosted on did not have the minimum version for mySQL. So tera-byte said I could use another one of their servers which did have the latest version of the database program. I transferred my files from the old server, then I had to make a new database and somehow figure out how to import my old database into the new one. I don’t do this sort of thing every day so I pretty much had to bull my way through it. Some of you might not be able to view johnsjar.com until that DNS change is reflected in other servers throughout … Continue reading
