Run 51, 2008

What an ugly mess. I ran the same 5peaks trail loop in Devon as last year. It is approximately 7 km though I can’t be sure. Anyway I will call it 7 km because I suppose over the 1500 or so km I run this year a difference of a few hundred meters hardly matters. I ran it in 54:38 which is a slow 7:48 pace. But the hills were killer hills from the depths of hell. That’s my excuse. That’s not the problem. The problem is that someone has destroyed the trails and a large part of the loop is closed. I don’t know why yet, but it looks like a road has been bulldozed or something with felled dead trees everywhere.
