Run 52, 2008
I ran 24 km today with a 7:28 pace. It was a cool and overcast day but no rain until my last 2 km and then only a sprinkle. I went along the highways today into Devon 12 km then turned around and came back. So yes, I did tackle two killer hill across the Devon bridge. Going down was fun and my pace was good, but going up I had to slow down a lot. I am happy that I still managed to maintain my goal pace over this distance especially the hills which I am not used to. But I am just a wee bit disappointed it wasn’t a just a little bit faster. Next week is a 27 km run so I’d better rest up!

Karate 45
Yes, I got in another lesson but there really isn’t much I want to say about it as I am suffering from burnout and don’t really feel like writing. It was good and I am getting better. Next Saturday I have a race to attend so I will miss the first two hours of a special 5 hour weapons class (Kobudo). We will be using the Bo and the Tonfa. Classes are drawing to a close for the summer and we are trying to decide how to handle summer classes if any are offered.
