Run 100, 2008

Well, I ran 11 km in 1:19:06 fro a 7:12 pace. At the start I wasn’t sure I would make it because of my wonky left knee. Then again, the same thoughts near the end of the run. It was pretty hard running the trail portion because of the snow.

I honestly don’t know if I will be able to continue long distance racing, but I think I can do short races of 10 km or less. I really have no clue what the immediate future holds. Will I have to cease running like I do? I will have to see the results of my MRI at the end of January. I will try to use all possible options to recover or deal with this nagging problem so that I can continue to run. But, like I said, I have no clue right now.

I have to wait.

Meanwhile, I have my last run of the year scheduled for Dec 31st which is my RLHW. (Run Like Hell Wednesdays). That happens on an indoor track and is supposed to be 6 km run at a 6 minute pace or less.

Also, I have two marathons to plan for in the new year and I think they will be Calgary and Edmonton. But I am not sure.

Meanwhile.

I have to wait.
