It felt a little bit cold with a strong wind and overcast conditions as I started out on my run but I got up to “operating temperature” pretty quickly and that somewhat icy wind somehow magically turned into a cool refreshing breeze. Actually nothing changed in the environmental conditions but my perceptions certainly changed.
My left knee threatened to have a tantrum but I called it’s bluff and kept going. By some magic, the knee forgot its threat and it was all good. So a word to the wise. OK, maybe many words to the wise: This has happened to me countless times where my body has complained bitterly and it turned out to be nothing at all. So push through your aches and pains, while at the same time not being stupid about it and getting seriously injured.
So anyway, in spite of the recent rains, everything is still bone dry and in place of duck filled waters we have mud cracks. I wonder if it will take some heavy duty magic to get wet again?
