The myth about Nibiru…

PROBLEM: Chicken Little people fleeing and squawking about the end of the world.
CAUSE: Lack of thought, common sense, and critical thinking ability.

For entertainment purposes, and to keep up with the huge number of conspiracy theories out there, I sometimes watch You Tube UFO and other videos about modern and not so modern mythology. Last night I came across a series of interviews by the “Project Camelot” team, which I’d never heard of until now. I don’t know much about it because this is the first time I saw one. It was almost two hours of an interview with Robert Dean, a former intelligence analyst in the USA. I have no way of verifying anything here and I don’t really know all the characters involved in these multiple conspiracy theories nor the people who try to publicize their own revelations, the so-called whistle blowers. I intend to watch other videos that interview people who claim to have inside knowledge about aliens, UFO’s, the disasters coming in 2012, and the government cover up.

Anyway, in this particular interview at least, the gentle old man known as Robert Dean charms you into believing his story about the Anunnaki, who are one of our extraterrestrial alien overlord races. The claim is that governments have actually seen and photographed this planet Nibiru which is about 2.5 or 3 times the mass of the Earth and that it is inbound crossing Earth’s orbit every 3643 or so years. This event causes catastrophes on Earth and will do so again especially if both Earth and Nibiru are on the same side of the sun at the same time.

Clearly, this is ultimate rubbish. It basically proves that Robert Dean is living in a fantasy world. If this planet was real and actually has been harassing Earth every 3643 years for hundreds of thousands or even millions of years, there would be nothing left of our solar system. Earth orbit would have been altered on the first pass. Every planet in the solar system would have altered orbits every time Nibiru passed, and the orbits would be altered again every 3643 years until collisions happened or until planets were flung into the far reaches of space in impossible orbits. I can pretty much guarantee that any alteration in the Earth’s orbit would have left the Earth uninhabitable simply because Earth’s orbit would be different enough to make life impossible.

On that basis alone this tale is total rubbish. As I listened to the interview, which starts out all reasonable from a perspective that this is true and the interview is only to get details, Robert Dean said that he knew and respected Richard Hoagland, who is clearly either a complete whacko, or merely just a clever con man who makes a lot of money with his absurd theories. That fact alone puts Robert Dean in the same boat as Richard Hoagland and his ilk, which is to make lots of money by peddling lies to the gullible.

Apparently, astronomers everywhere have photographs of this inbound planet Nibiru but all of them are hiding the evidence because they are afraid that they will lose their government grants, or maybe the government will kill them. So the government has also managed to silence the thousands of well equipped amateur astronomers too? Has anyone produced any evidence of any kind for the existence of this planet? No. Does that mean it does not exist? Probably. Is it possible for a rogue planetoid or planet to come crashing through the solar system? Yes. But it probably would not survive in an unstable orbit. Any planet that has survived in this solar system has done so because it has settled into a stable orbit which does not perturb any other orbit.

I repeat: A planet like Nibiru just cannot exist if it has the effect the conspiracy people say it does, that of disturbing planetary orbits and attitudes. If it did exist at one time, it has since fallen into a stable non-interfering orbit. Note that I did not say the planet cannot exist. I am just saying that its orbit cannot have any disruptive effect on the other planets. Period.

These people take advantage of the scientific ignorance of the masses to make money. Plain and simple. I don’t know the motivation of the Project Camelot people. But I think I can safely assume they might make some money from this. Do they believe the load of bull they are recording? Do the people who spout this bull believe it? I don’t know, maybe they do or maybe they partly do and the rest is their own speculations which they carefully do not identify nor separate from the few facts interwoven with their absurd tales to make it look legitimate.

Could I be wrong about this? Sure I could. But I doubt it. I am not that knowledgeable about astronomy, or the physics of orbital and celestial mechanics, but I can see huge problems with having a massive planet in such an elliptical orbit with a period of 3643 years. What about the Oort cloud? This planet would travel through it as it slowed down at aphelion, plowing a path and sending tons of cometary material in every direction. One single pass would wipe out most of the solar system’s inner planets, I think. Inbound, this planet would leave a path of destruction as it altered every orbital parameter (even Jupiter’s) and at perihelion who knows what would happen?

CONCLUSION: Bullshit.
RECOMMENDATION: Use your frikken head, people.
