Run 76, 2009 …a windy and very cool 17.45 km
When I began running today I felt that I would run really poorly and I noted that I was slow at every checkpoint up to 7 km. I was feeling really lazy and lethargic and the wind was strong and cold at 13 degrees C. Beautiful day, though! I did my three trail loops along with my 8 km of road surface and somehow I managed to perk up a little around the 13 km mark and I ran well. Surprisingly, I managed to finish in almost the exact same time (less than a minute slower) as my last 17 km run. My average pace was 7:08 per km and I finished in 2:04:36. Last time I finished in 2:03:51. I’m not going to be running farther than that for my half marathon October 12th since I’ll have no problem running only an additional 4 km.
